well....i'm at wdvx & i definitley just announced the wrong yonder song straight up! ohhhh well. i am havin' extra fun tonight! i finally found my town mountain cd and got to play it! i think that people will really get to likin' them. luke called me tonight!!!! luke went to italy with us and is just plain awesome. he is in south carolina ( or north carolina?) and listened on line. it was really good to hear from him! i didn't get to talk long because this place keeps me busy. i also heard from ben lanz and had a conversation with him for a bit-he's in clemson and listened in for a while. it sure is nice to talk to someone who knows their wdvx!! today was the usual monday-filled with radio business. i turned in my first photography project & i want to post those pictures later. i will also post the playlist from tonight in a while...gotta take advantage of the internet while i'm here! dadgum freakin' comcast!!!!!!!!! argggg...

videosomnia

hmmmmmm well it is 2:48 am, sunday late night. my location is in apartment 420. i am trying to watch some of the music video channels but they alllllll suck. the show called videosomniac is on mtv tres so i and not really understanding much of what they are saying. CMT pure isn't so good either. They did play an alabama song though. now it is on MTV jams and it is playing some live show from some where at panama city spring break. i had to put it on mute a while ago because the music was actually annoying...! imagine that. anyway....yea. i am trying to finish my photography project but i'm still going to have to get up pretty early. i went to the library earlier and studied for my math test which wasn't all that fun. this weekend was alright, i did spend most of it inside disc exchange as usual. friday night i worked, went to garage deluxe's cd release party, and celebrated tnasty's bday. next morning woke up at 11:30 am to all my friends taking jello shots and already getting down for the game. i had to work at 3 so i didn't participate but it was an interesting sight to see when i got off work 10 hours later.now i am really not sure if i am ready to start another week!! yikeees. tomorrow is radio-dayy. right now i don't know where my phone is and i may or may not have 1.left it in my car 2.left it at walgreens. lets hope it is the first of the two. i need to go to bed before i start the week off with awful sleepinesss! goodnight moon

dadgum broken internet

well....my internet has been broken for about a week. it kind of sucks because I had a pretty crazy weekend that i would have liked to write about. Right now i am at WDVX in the middle of my shift. I am feeling a lot better that I was last post...which looking back on is a little depressing. Today was radio day. I have Monday alllllll dayyyy long and it is actually not bad. I love radio. I enjoy my life. right now I am playing new riders of the purple sage. I have heard that they are coming here this month? crazy....Anyway...I'll post the playlist from tonight along with other things later..and fill in the story on the last crazy week of my life....ok...........so.......so long

i've been thinking a lot today.

so i'm just gonna write and i'm going to try to make it clear. before i forget, get upset, or leave here. woody guthrie wouldn't be so scared. i've got to stand up and make this journey about me. and the people i love, and the world i see. find the things that make me me. but also let the me fade away, and invest my life in others. see things grow and build a life, all while making brilliant discoveries about this life. answer questions, but ask even more, figure out what i'm doing here for

Labor Day Weekend

wellllll here I am. The Tuesday after Labor Day weekend. My pool is closed & I just don't know why. It is still 5 million degrees out there. My weekend consisted of work & beer. Started out Friday with missing my first video production lab ( shoooot ). Then headed to one class (cinema studies wooo) and headed to work directly after. Friday......what did I do? hmmmm I can't remember so it couldn't have been that great. Saturday worked again. Wanted to go see Thank You at the Pilot Light but arrived after it was already over. Then wanted to go to Sassy Ann's but forgot my ID. Then wanted to meet some of my radio friends at a party in Grand Forest but encountered way too many cops for comfort along the way. Ended up at apartment #420 and ordering late night Oscar's. Sunday bloody Sunday-radioo day. Had a music meeting at 4, and a DJ shift at 5 (see below WUTK playlist). My mom brought my little brother Dowe down to meet me and hang out. After my shift we walked all the way to apartment 420 across campus. (It was Boomsday. Wayyyy too much traffic to drive.) So we chill, watch moe.'s live broadcast from moedown, and then watch the fireworks. The fireworks were good. Drove home eventually in Sam's bronco, and slept till noon which was awesome. Took Dowe home, and went to the radio (WUTK) for my office hours, but the promoters that I would be talking to were all off for labor day. So me and Zak got some stuff done at the station..I cleaned and threw away lots of stuff that had been stacked up for months. We also made boxes for us, Jeremy, and Brian. Yayyy it feels good to have a system! Rolled outta there around 6, went home to grab my records and head to WDVX. Had to get a coffee and ran really late, but made it right on time. (Check out playlist below) Trying to figure out a good name for my show before the new show after mine starts next week. Then....went to the Rooster house to watch the rest of the UT game. we lost. Now I'm laying in bed smoking & listening to WDVX online and i'm really hungry. I don't feel all that great and it is 10:51 AM. I have been up since about 8:30. Why? I don't know. But i'm soo glad I don't have class till 2:15. I really need to go to Blue Plate though and ask Roger about some comp tickets to the Hackensaw Boys on Thursday. I really dig the infamous stringdusters. They are badass. Maybe they will come back to Knoxville soon. After class today I go to work at Disc Exchange. I really have a lot to do. I'm hearing a lot of unexplained nosies downstairs. Ahhhh
